I am an experienced teacher of 25 years. I have taught a wide range of subjects which include: science, math, English, history, health, physical education, and Spanish.

My teaching experiences have taken me to various schools where I have taught an interesting variety of students. Rare is the concept that I cannot help any given student understand the subject.

Learning can be at times difficult. I have the patience and understanding of student learning frustration. I am upbeat in attitud...

Mark did a great job working with my daughter to get her ready for her final examine in honors biology. She finished the lesson feeling much more confident, and I appreciate Mark getting us in the last minute and knowing the materials so well to help her. He was able to put the material into context and help her understand versus memorize.

Easy to work with and easy to set up appointments. Two of my boys took lessons each playing different types of saxophones and said they worked on skills they didn't have before.

After only the first session, my son was able to begin to understand and read music. He started in band in the 2nd semester and wasn't able to catch up with what was taught the 1st semester. Mark provide some helpful tips. We will continue until my son is comfortable with reading music.

He is very patient with my child and knowledgeable of her needs , the very best for my beginner daughter, he teaches her school notes ahead of her class which is a plus for her
- RACHAEL I. from Lawrenceville, GA
My son has only had one lesson with Mark but I think it went great. I loved that he went over some basics to understand what my 10 yr old already knew (he started lessons about a year ago in school). Looking forward to my 5th grader continuing to learn from him.

Dillan had not even put his saxophone together yet. Mark walked him through step by step how to take care of his instrument and how to play 3 notes. Wow! I thought it would take a few lessons for Dillan to learn a note or two, and now he plays 3-6 before his second lessons. Great, thank you Mark

Mark R. has been working with my 12 year old son for a few months now. The improvement is wonderful. My son was struggling across the board in his subjects. Some subjects worse than others. Mark has been such a perfect fit for both my son and for me as a parent. My son has enjoyed working with Mark from the beginning. Mark evaluated every subject to see where my son was lacking. In each subject he has been filling in the gaps, helping each area of difficulty become achievable. He works with him in multiple ways to ensure he understands the material. Mark has been able to cover all subjects with the amount of knowledge he possesses. If only he could help my son to take out the trash on time, but that's not his job. My son thinks this tutor has a great teaching style and cares that he is learning and about him as an individual. As a parent, I think Mark is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and most of all the communication with me is terrific. I get daily updates that let me know what they covered, how it went and what my son is struggling with. If at any time Mark thinks something might help in any way, he lets me know. This kind of feedback is so valuable to me. I am a busy person, I wish I could do hours of schoolwork with my son, but I can't. Mark helps me feel that I'm involved and have full awareness of their lessons and when I need to get involved. I'm able to focus on my work and the time I spend with my son doesn't become a homework battle every night. This has greatly improved the time we spend together because it is no longer filled with arguments. I would and do recommend this tutor to any parent wanting an excellent tutor. My final comment is, "thank you, Mark," my son is learning!

learned the basics of how to handle the sax, what the important parts of the sax such as the reed, how to properly blow into the sax and actually learned 4 notes: C,B,A and G. I am very pleased with my first lesson and will be continuing with Mark.

Mr. Mark R., the Saxophone tutor from Wyzant has been tutoring my 9th grade son since mid 2020. He has been a great tutor, whom my son admires more as Mr. Mark is very talented and a patient tutor, and humorous too. As I observed that Mr. Mark is well connected with my son as a coach and inspires my son a lot to improve my son?s musical talents. Mr. Mark is a great person to work with as he is flexible with the lesson schedules and timings. His 25+ years of academic teaching experience is a great plus as he understands the dynamics of students to coach them accordingly. He is a great tutor!
