I am a proud homegrown product of the Arizona education system; University High School '99 and the University of Arizona '04!

I received my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and Statistics while completing graduate course work in biometry. I went on to work as a research associate for a longitudinal study looking at risk factors of cardiovascular disease in African Americans. After working with the study for 9 moths I began graduate studies towards my Master's in Public Health ...
She explained in more details what a construct is, and provides me with various examples of both constructs and variables. I learned some ways I can formulate research questions and lot more concepts of statistics. She is very patient and have a very good interpersonal characteristic that makes me feel comfortable talking to her.

Hands down this is your tutor. My stress level for Biostats was through the roof. I feel confident with her tutoring style, explanations and visual effects I will pass my class without any problems. She is thorough and well versed in SPSS, Excel and all the requirements for Biostats. I will continue weekly tutoring sessions to strengthen my knowledge. I am beyond happy with my choice. Rachel is your WOMAN for tutoring. I could cry tears of joy.

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate, without much experience in statistics and quantitative studies. Rachel has been an excellent resource for understanding the concepts, organizing the approach and staying on track. With each lesson, my take home teaching points have become the sound building blocks to move my direct practice improvement project, which is similar to a dissertation. Thank you, Rachel!
- Sharon G. from Tucson, AZ
She is very patient and helpful in answering any questions that I have. She helps me work through practice problems while explaining both the rationale and the process.
- Rachel D. from Clovis, CA
Rachel worked with my high school daughter on precalculus honors homework and studying for a quiz. By the end of the session my daughter felt much more confident about her understanding of the material and able to do the homework. Thanks!
- Amber P. from Springfield, VA

Rachel helped me through one the most challenging courses of my college career! I am an undergraduate Sociology major and needed to complete one last mathematics course in order to graduate. The class was about sociological research and the computer/statistical methods behind it - though it did fall within my major most of what we learned was completely new to me. I had taken some basic math years before, but had not been near this subject at all since. That being said, I was lost, but Rachel saved the day! Stata was required for all assignments and course work. I had no prior history with stata or any statistical software which worried me, however Rachel was so incredibly helpful with all of this! She patiently worked with me guiding me through the stata program and teaching me all that I needed to know about statistics and data analysis along the way. Rachel is very kind and welcoming, I was never afraid to ask her questions when something was not clear to me which was didn't happen often as she always explained everything thoroughly. Rachel was also great with getting back to me quickly. I have a full course load and work outside of school, but Rachel was super accommodating in finding times to meet that worked for both of us. At first I was nervous about meeting online as I had never worked with a tutor like that before, but I definitely would recommend it and will do this again in the future as Rachel showed me that online tutoring can work out really well. I truly was afraid of making it the sociology statistics course, but Rachel made it doable and I'm so grateful to her for that!

Rachel and I have been working together on many sessions as I catch up in my social statistics class for college. I wish I would have found her at the beginning of my class!!! She is knowledgeable, patient, and most importantly, I understand how she explains and uses the whiteboard to help me see how the problems work. I will continue working with Rachel until I get through my class.

Rachel worked hard to get to know my son's learning style and customized her lessons for him. We started to see his test scores and study habits improve within a few sessions. Rachel clearly put additional effort into teaching my son, and made herself available to him whenever he needed. She often developed her own review sheets for their lessons. I found her to be a very insightful teacher. Her passion for teaching and for math spilled over into every session. I've already made arrangements for her to continue working with my son for next school year.
- Janet V. from Tucson, AZ
Rachel answered my questions and helped me understand the topics better. She knew the subject matter and was prepared for my questions. Will reach out to her for further help needed for homework and exam.

Rachel guided me through one of the toughest courses I've taken while obtaining my MBA.... Statistics. Rachel is extremely knowledgeable in Statistics - there wasn't an area she couldn't tackle. She helped me through calculations regarding the Central Limit Theorem, confidence intervals, correlation coefficients, standard deviations, P-values, hypothesis testing, determining the critical values, determining the test statistic, populating the ANOVA table, Tukey's HSD approach, regression equations, and she is extremely knowledgeable with using advanced statistics software that we were required to use. I can not say enough good things about Rachel's teaching/tutoring abilities. I couldn't have done it without her. Wyzant is fortunate to have her on their team. She's sharp!

After only 2 sessions, we saw a big improvement in my son's math grade. She made geometry look easy. My teenager enjoys working with her and he feels a lot more confident in his abilities. This was so worth the investment.
- Maureen S. from Tucson, AZ
My son is shy and doesn't like to ask for help. Rachel was able to communicate with him, and instruct him on the points he hadn't quite grasped in class. Pre-Calculus is extremely unforgiving when you don't get the concepts from two weeks ago, as it continually builds on each lesson. I am thankful that she was able to help bring him up to speed in such a short time and will contact Rachel for more help for my son.
- Mark R. from Tucson, AZ
Thanks for the math and SAT overall tutoring! My daughter is more confident in her ability to solve math problems and post a good score on her SAT!
- Reggie B. from Tucson, AZ
Rachel answered my initial inquiry promptly. She was able to set a meeting with me within a day, which I appreciated in light of my project deadlines. This was a one hour meeting for consultation, not tutoring. I found Rachel to be knowledgeable about the types and level of statistical analyses involved in a quantitative study. She offered practical suggestions. This was a productive consultation.

I used Rachel for tutoring in math for the ACT. I learned a lot not only for the ACT but also applied this knowledge to my current math class. She taught me knew math concepts in a way that made sense and I was actually able to remember! Will definitely use Rachel in the future if I need future tutoring.

Personally, I think Rachel is a really good tutor because she helps me understand things that I didn't understand when I walked in the door. She has been a great help to me with Math and even just being there to talk to if I need her. She is more than just a tutor she is a friend. She works very well with teens because she understands them. Again, honestly she has helped me so much with Geometry that I understand things that I haven't understood in a while. She has helped me with my confidence level in Math, and now I am able to take a chance and try to figure things out for myself. All in all she has been an amazing help and I love going to Math Institute to learn even more.
