College is hard, there’s no doubt about it. But thanks to Quizlet, college students around the nation are now getting help succeeding in their respective majors, according to a recent press release. If you’re a college student and you haven’t heard of Quizlet, well, you’re a rare find. Most of today’s college students rely on this technology to get by in their classes, ranging from microbiology to education. As finals approach college students across the nation, Quizlet is launching their premium content platform. Paying for premium access means you’ll be able to utilize more resources when studying.

User-generated content will still be available for free, but professionals have put together study guides and information sheets that directly align with textbooks and online courses. If you’re worried about how you’re going to pass your finals, this might be a good tool for you to look into.

50% of today’s college students have used Quizlet or use it on a frequent basis. It’s considered the largest user-generated consumer learning platform and has recently reached 50 million monthly active users, which is a HUGE number for a study app. It goes to show that if you aren’t utilizing this online tool, you should be.

Don’t worry, if you aren’t wanting to pay for premium access to Quizlet just yet, you’ll still be able to get ahold of free, user-generated content. However, premium access means you could benefit from complete study guides or individual study sets, each good for one-year full access to the content. Practice questions that simulate tests from instructors and test prep materials will also be available in early 2019.

“Quizlet has a rapidly growing user base of more than 50 million people a month, and those people are coming to our platform looking for a centralized experience for all their study needs,” said Matthew Glotzbach, Quizlet’s CEO. “Our goal is to ultimately serve all 1.4 billion students around the world, so it’s an incredible benefit for our users to get access to the best education content creators out there. Quizlet Premium Content allows publishers and creators, especially those looking to meet the demands of the changing publishing industry, a new way of reaching students to help them achieve their learning goals.”

“Pearson is excited to participate in the launch of the Quizlet Marketplace,” stated Pedro Rodrigues De Vasconcellos, VP – Product Marketing English & Schools, Pearson.

“Babbel’s mission is to enable language-learning for everyone,” said Julie Hansen, CEO US of Babbel. “Millions of subscribers worldwide already use Babbel to learn a new language, but high school students have not comprised a large part of them to date. This partnership brings Babbel to a new, younger audience with a combination of Quizlet’s popular platform and our language learning expertise. Our goal with the partnership is to help students ace their AP language exams and encourage them to continue their language journey.”

Professors at colleges across the country support their students use of Quizlet. Rob Swatski, professor and developer of the A-Plus Anatomy series stated, “as a professor, author, and illustrator based in York, Pennsylvania, offering my study materials on Quizlet allows me to reach biology students around the world. I’ve recommended Quizlet to my classes for years, and it’s fantastic to now have a direct way for my students to study my own diagrams and images with built-in capabilities like flashcards and quizzes.”

Quizlet partners with creators who have exceptional reputations in academia and with learners. Quizlet verifies the creator and helps guide them on the type of content that would be most useful to Quizlet’s user base. With the official launch, Quizlet is welcoming education experts and content creators worldwide to apply to be a Verified Creator and offer their content for students to purchase and study. For a company that was created by a high school student, Quizlet has found a unique niche. It is headquartered in San Fransisco, CA.
